My family (husband and two boys ages 5 and 6) ate here tonight. It was the best meal we had in Austria.The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team. The food was absolutely delicious. They served authentic food from this area, all homemade. They also make cider and local schnapps, including a pine cone schnapps which was delicious and not like anything I have ever tasted.They have tables outside, some of which have a view of the lake. The indoor seating was also lovely and had great views.It’s a small restaurant with a very farmhouse / homegrown experience. If you want to feel like you are eating at a local friend’s house, come here. You will not be disappointed.

This was an incredible experience- the food is fresh and delicious, especially the berry dessert. Our hosts spoke English and were incredibly welcoming and kept us laughing and enjoying the food throughout the evening. We will be back!

Husband and wife team. Nice ambiance, food was good cooked by the man of the house. Lovely views from the Mostschenke overlooking Grundlsee.

Fantastic place, homemade meals, had most, a meat platter,cheese Nockerl and vegetarian platter, everything superb quality from local ingredients, and a very friendly service on top. Cosy surrounding, sat under appletrees in an orchard with view of the lake and opposite mountain range
